Service Projects

Take a look at our current service project items and see what interests you.

Come join us by serving at our Warehouse in Pleasant Grove (90 S Main Street) or arrange to pick up a product kit from an Area Manager near you to work on at home. Your finished items will be distributed to our partner charitable organizations or delivered by Stitching Hearts to those in need.

Current Service Projects Needs

SEW QUILT TOPS/BACKS

Volunteers can create their own design or check out a pre-cut kit for quilt tops made to be tied or machine quilted for refugees both local and abroad.

TIE QUILTS

Quilts are being given to K-12 homeless children, natural disaster survivors, sexual assault victims, and Refugees. We make our quilts with love!

LOVEYS

These sensory tools can be a grounding, comfort item for a child or adult experiencing anxiety, processing issues, or effects from trauma they have experienced.

ENVELOPE QUILTS

Sew around the edge of a pinned quilt with batting, turn it right side out, sew the opening closed, and then top-stitch a a 1" border around the quilt so it can be tied.

RECEIVING BLANKETS

Many new mothers in non-profit programs have little to call their own. These baby blankets help to give them and their little ones comfort and support.

BACKPACKS

Given to children or adults needing something to hold their belongings as they come into the US or other hosting refugee countries.

REFUGEE RUGS

These rugs are for the Refugees being re- located to Utah. They love having rugs in their homes. These are made from unusable quilt fabric scraps.

FILE FOLDER GAMES

File Folder games are fun for all ages to make and take no sewing skills. Coloring, cutting, gluing. These are laminated by our partners and delivered to refugee run preschools.

SLEEPING MATS

Sleeping Mats are being made to help keep Refugees and Homeless from freezing. They create a 40 degree warmth factor that can save lives.

Marble Mazes

Our marble mazes are a great sensory tool for kids and adults alike. There are both sewing and non-sewing opportunities with this projecct.
